In The Netherlands, the Works Council has to be informed annually on the developments in respect of the whistleblowing procedure. This is a duty of the management. However, we can assist you with that.

We at The Integrity Coordinator are under the impression that the Works Council is not always informed about the developments in respect of the whistleblowing procedure and we think that is a shame. Even if you don’t have a Works Council, it would make sense to make an annual report.  This report is essential to demonstrate that whistleblowing reports are submitted and what happens with them. This will increase the trust in the whistleblowing procedure. Some companies therefore include this report in their non-financial reporting or in their annual social or ESG report. Moreover, it would make sense to share the report with the Executive Board, the Supervisory Board and/or the  Audit Committee anyway.
