Whistleblower Protection Act to be discussed by the House of Representatives this week
On Thursday December 8, there will be a plenary debate in the Lower House on the Whistleblower Protection Act, followed by a vote on December 13. We will attend the debate and report on it in our next newsletter.
DWDD shows: whistleblower laws still insufficiently protect reporters
The news about the bullying behaviour at the Dutch tv-show “De Wereld Draait Door” (DWDD) could hardly be missed in the Dutch media in the last couple of weeks. Many co-workers were aware of it, but nobody did anything to stop it. These cases can and should be handled better.
The House for Whistleblowers recently released a brochure that contains a job description and profile of the integrity manager. This is not very different from the job description of the ethics & compliance officer.
